Many on social media are claiming that government is giving Rs 5000 to all those who are inoculated with Covid 19 vaccine.
A Twitter user said, “Those who got covid vaccines are given Rs 5000 from Prime Minister’s public welfare department. If you have got corona vaccine, fill out the form now and get Rs 5000. Fill out the form from this link https://pm-yojna.in/5000rs”.

Another Twitter user also claimed the same on his account. He said, “The department is providing Rs 5000 from Prime Minister’s Welfare department to all those who got covid vaccines. If you’ve received the Corona vaccine, you can fill out the form to receive Rs. 5000.”

FactO Check
To find the veracity of the claims, our fact check team e-mailed the link of claims being made about the ‘5000 Rs scheme to vaccinated people, to the PIB fact check, the nodal agency of the government of India for confirmation.

In response to our e-mail regarding the claims over the alleged scheme, the PIB fact-check team outrightly denied any such claims. In the response mail to our team, the PIB fact check team provided a link to a tweet that debunks the viral claim. The tweet said in Hindi, “In a viral message, it is being claimed that those who have got the Covid vaccine are being provided ₹ 5,000 by the Prime Minister’s Public Welfare Department after filling an online form.”

Conclusion
In our investigation with the help of the PIB Fact Check team, we found that the viral post claiming the provision of Rs 5000 to each Covid vaccinated person is wrong and baseless.
