A collage showing four photos, allegedly from the young age of PM Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, CM Yogi Adityanath and CM Eknath Shinde, is doing the rounds on social media. Users are sharing the collage with the motive to brag about the humble backgrounds and struggles of the four leaders.
However, Facto News found that except for CM Yogi, the other photos are not the young images of President Murmu, PM Modi and CM Shinde.
The caption along the post reads: “Next time, when you crib that you don’t have enough resources to do what you love, please look at the picture: 1-Prime Minister – Sh Narendra Modi, 2-President – Smt Droupadi Murmu, 3-UP CM – Sh. Yogi Aaditaynath, 4-Maharashtra CM-Sh. Eknath Shinde.”

On conducting a reverse image search of the first photo, we found the original photo on the website of the Associate Press archive; the image claimed to be of PM Modi has been digitally altered.

According to AP, the photo is from 1946 and credited to Max Desfor; it has been described as the ‘untouchable’ or Harijans sweeping the street, yards and houses.
On comparing the viral photo with the original, we found Modi’s face morphed on the original.
Second: Droupadi Murmu
On conducting a reverse image search of the second photo alleged to be of Murmu, the result led us to an article published by News18 on 23 July 2018.
The article carries the same image and identifies her as Sukumar Tudu, who works as a cleaner (safai karmachari) at the primary health centre in Uparbeda, Odisha.

Third: Yogi Adityanath
The reverse image search of the third photo led us to a report by TOI on Yogi Adityanath published on 19 March 2017.
It carries the same photo and reports that in 1994, 22-year-old Ajay Singh Bisht (Yogi Aditaynath) received ‘Deeksha’ as a disciple of Gorakhnath temple from head Mahant, Avaidyanath, who declared him as his successor.

Fourth: Eknath Shinde
Finally, on conducting a reverse image search of the last photo of the collage, we found it posted on Facebook by ‘Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat Pune’ on 22 July 2022.
The post mentions the person in the image as Baba Kamble, the founding president of Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat.

Conclusion:
Therefore, it is evident that, except for Yogi Adityanath, the claim about the other three photos is wrong.
