9-year-old boy among victims of attack on German market

The attack on a Christmas market last Friday (20) in Magdeburg, Germany, left five dead, including a 9-year-old boy, and more than 200 injured. The suspect of driving a car into a crowd was arrested shortly after the crime.

What happened

In addition to the boy, the other four victims are women. Only their ages were disclosed, being: 52, 45, 75 and 67 years old, reported The Guardian.

The boy’s mother identified him on Sunday (22) as André Gleißner. “Let my teddy bear fly around the world again,” said Désirée. “André didn’t do anything to anyone. He was only with us on Earth for nine years. Why you? Just why? You will always live in our hearts… I promise you.”
