Israel says he killed Hezbollah leader in bombing in Lebanon
Lebanon Ministry of Health reported that a person was killed in the Israeli attack. The agency also reported that three other people were injured, including an unveiled child.
The city of Aitoraun is located less than three kilometers on the border between Israel and Lebanon.
Ceasefire
In November last year, Israel woke up a ceasefire with Hezbollah. However, since the truce came into force, the Israeli army killed 71 civilians, including 14 women and nine children, in attacks on Lebanese territory, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said today.
UN also pointed out that Israeli bombings have reached civil infrastructures such as residential buildings and medical centers. “Violence should stop immediately,” UN spokesman Thameen Al Kheetan, who defended an investigation into civilian deaths.
Attacks pose a risk to the region, warned Kheetan. “The ceasefire needs to be maintained and any climbing is a risk to stability in general in Lebanon, Israel and throughout the region.”
