Bolsonaro is expected to discharge hospital in the ‘next few days’, says medical bulletin

Entering the fourth week of hospitalization, former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) received on Saturday, 3, the first forecast of discharge since surgery performed in the intestines. According to the new medical bulletin, the former president should leave the DF Star Hospital in Brasilia in the “next days”.

The medical team also informs that he continues to feed orally and had “progression” in the diet, with pasty food and already without the help of supplementary nutrition by the vein. Bolsonaro, as in recent days, is clinically stable, without pain or fever and controlled blood pressure.

Bolsonaro was discharged from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) last Wednesday, 30. In total, the former president spent 18 days in intensive care, and only again eating the oral way a day earlier, on Tuesday, 29. In the same day, he removed the nasogastric probe and posted a video of the instrument being pulled from his nose by the doctor.

Bolsonaro has been in the hospital since last month, when he underwent surgery that lasted 12 hours to remove adhesions in the gut and rebuild the abdominal wall. The procedure was performed after he was sick on the 11th, in a schedule in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte.
