Number of India attack victims against Pakistan rises to 31

Five fighters and an Indian drone were slaughtered, according to Pakistani security sources. They did not communicate where they were slaughtered, or how.

India and Pakistan are in a state of tension. Yesterday’s attack occurred in retaliation the attack committed at Caxemira Indiana on April 22, when at least 26 people died in the tourist city of Pahalgam. Armed men opened fire on tourists.

Indian authorities have classified April action as the worst attack on civilians in years. Although the attack was not claimed, Nova delhi accused Islamabad, who categorically denied any involvement. No group took responsibility for the action.

India declared ‘water war’ to Pakistan

India will “cut water” from rivers that are born in its territory and pass through Pakistan. The Indian government announced the suspension of its participation in a Water Resources sharing treaty signed in 1960 with Pakistan, in response to the April 22 attack. “The water that belongs to India and that so far flowed out will be retained to serve the interests of India and will be used within the country,” said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a public discourse.

Hours before Modi’s statement, Pakistan had already accused India of changing the flow of the Chenab River. “We noticed changes in Chenab that is nothing natural (…) the normal flow of the river was considerably reduced overnight,” Pirzada, minister of irrigation of the Pakistani province of Punjab, which borders India borders to AFP.
