Trump government evaluates to support reality that will give Green Card as a prize

According to the Daily Mail, the intention is that a famous American, born in another country and also naturalized, is the host of the program. Some names are cited as possible options, such as Colombian Sofia Vergara, Ukrainian Mila Kunis and Canadian Ryan Reynolds. They would receive each competitor with a welcome gift: a personalized baseball glove.

Immigrants would be divided into teams, which would compete in one hour episodes. The challenges would occur during trips to various states, in which participants would know local populations and learn about the history, culture and peculiarities of each region. Questions and answers competitions with civic themes would also be held.

According to the project presentation, each episode would have at least four parts. 1) Cultural inheritance challenge; 2) elimination challenge; 3) Participate in a community meeting; 4) Final vote.

The program’s award would be the granting of American citizenship to the winner, at a ceremony on the US capitol staircases. Worsoff stated that the proposal is not intended to penalize anyone in their immigration process or deport participants with negative performances, according to the New York Times.

United States Internal Security Secretary Kristi Noem would be supporting the idea, and the department would be working to enable the reality show on some streaming platform, according to the Daily Mail.

Trump has already presented reality show

It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump was the host of the reality show The Apprentice between 2004 and 2015. The program had several versions around the world, including in Brazil, with “The Apprentice”, which was broadcast by TV Record. The presentation was initially made by Roberto Justus and, later, by João Doria, who, like Trump, also joined politics after the program.
