There will be no capital escape with dividend taxation by 10%, says Haddad Secretary
The Secretary of Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Finance, Marcos Pinto, said on Tuesday (20) that can “ensure” that the taxation of remittances of dividends abroad, proposed by the government in income tax reform, will not generate escape from capital of Brazil.
At a public hearing at the Chamber of Deputies Commission dealing with the bill, Pinto argued that the government’s 10%collection is within the organization’s recommendation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), from 5%to 15%.
