United Kingdom suspends negotiations with Israel after a new offensive in Gaza

Application of Sanctions against Settlement for Violence in West Bank. Measures announced by the UK include financial restrictions and travel prohibitions. Among the sanctioned are Daniella Weiss, “Leader of the settlers”, and two organizations.
The measures occur after a dramatic increase in the violence of settlers in the West Bank, with the UN registering more than 1,800 settlements of settlers against Palestinian communities since January 1, 2024
Israel rejects “external pressure”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel criticized decision. “External pressure will not divert Israel out of its way in defending its existence and security against enemies seeking its destruction,” said Ministry spokesman Oren Marmstein.
Marmstein also stated that there is a “obsession with Israel.” The statement says that “if the British government is willing to harm its economy, it is its prerogative.”
