Mayor’s Secretary and Advisor to Mexico are murdered

According to TV Azteca, Guzmán drove a luxury vehicle and was looking for Muñoz at a subway station. They were intercepted by two armed men on a motorcycle. Muñoz was still hit on the sidewalk. The secretary was shot, lost control of the vehicle and eventually collided.

Both dead were from the Morena party, led by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. She expressed her condolences and said that the two murdered employees worked in their political movement “for a long time.”

Buggada said authorities investigate what motivated the attack and analyze security cameras to identify the authors. “There will be no impunity; those responsible will be arrested and should face justice,” he said.
