Brazilian pilot flying over volcano erupted in Italy; See video
Brazilian pilot Rafael Santoro, 39, flew over the Etna volcano in Italy at the time of the eruption and recorded the natural phenomenon on video.
What happened
Pilot recorded the moment during one of his flights in Barcelona, Spain, Doha, Qatar, on Monday (2). In the recording, released on social networks, you can see the dense smoke column in the region near the volcano peak that erupted in Sicily.
Brazilian explains that the aircraft cannot pass inside the cloud of smoke, just over it. “It’s reported here that she (the cloud of smoke) is 18,000 feet (tall). We (on the plane) are 39,000 feet,” he says in the recording.
