Ipsos-Ipec: Brazilians who see worse savings in 6 months rises from 34% to 39%

The worsening of expectations is accompanied by negative evaluations on areas of the federal administration. In public safety, the proportion of Brazilians who consider the government’s “great” or “good” performance in June fell from 24% to 20% compared to March this year.

Negative assessment remains high, with more than half of respondents (52%) classifying performance as “bad” or “bad”, one of the worst indicators between the evaluated themes.

In the health area, the number of Brazilians who see worse in the services rendered from 48% to 48%. Only 22% evaluate management as “great” or “good”, while 28% consider it “regular”. The scenario is similar in the field of education: the negative assessment of the Federal Government’s performance went from 36% in March to 40% in June. Positive evaluations also fell from 36% to 32%.

Fighting inflation

On the other hand, the level of dissatisfaction with the fight against inflation retreated. According to the survey, 55% of Brazilians classify the government’s performance as “bad” or “bad”, compared to 57% in March. Already those who consider positive action reduced a percentage point, moving to 16%.

Still in contrast to the tendency of deterioration in other areas, foreign policy is one of the few fields in which the Lula government has a slight improvement in perception. The positive assessment of Brazil’s relations with the abroad rose from 25% to 28% in June. Still, the number of those who see acting as “bad” or “bad” follows high, at 39%, while 24% consider it “regular”.
