Head of Intelligence and two other Iranian officers are killed in attacks
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had suggested that Iranian intelligence head had been killed in the attack. Netanyahu also said in an interview with Fox News, that Israeli army destroyed Iran’s main uranium enrichment installation.
Other dead officers
Iran’s revolutionary guard confirmed the death of eight officers during an attack on Friday. Among them were chief general, Amir Ali Hajizadeh. The other seven dead integrated the aerospace force. They are: Mahmoud Bagheri, Davad Sheikhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayeb, Khosrow Hassani, Javad Jursara and Mohammad Aghajafari.
On Friday, Iran had reported that ” several commanders ” and six nuclear scientists had been killed. They died in an attack by Israel, which targeted nuclear facilities to prevent Tehran from developing an atomic weapon.
Israel said the eight were killed as they gathered in an underground barracks. “As part of the initial bombings, army fighters attacked the command center where the Air Force Commander (Guarda), Amir Ali Hajizadeh, and other high -ranking employees,” said the Israeli Defense Ministry of Defense on Friday.
Conflict
Israel and Iran launched new air strikes on Sunday afternoon. Israel bombarded Tehran, the capital of Iran, and also announced attacks on dozens of missile facilities in western Iran.
