PF listens to Bolsonaro’s lawyer and former advisor about messages attributed to ICD
The Federal Police heard on Tuesday one of the lawyers of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Paulo Costa Bueno, and former Presidency Secretary of Social Communication Fabio Wajngarten in the investigation on messages attributed to Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid. The military is a whistleblower in the process related to the coup plot that aimed to keep Bolsonaro in power after the defeat in the elections.
Lawyer Eduardo Kuntz, who defends Colonel Marcelo Câmara, former Bolsonaro advisor, will also give testimony. The hearings will be held at the PF Superintendence in São Paulo simultaneously.

On the 17th, Kuntz informed the Supreme Court that he talked to Cid for an Instagram account about his award -winning report, which would violate the confidentiality of the agreement. Before Kuntz handed over to the STF messages, Bolsonaro’s defense lawyer Celso Vilardi, asked Cid during the STF interrogation on June 9, if he had talked about the content of his denunciation with others on Instagram. Days later, Veja magazine published messages attributed to this profile, about ICD denunciation. To the STF, Lieutenant Colonel’s lawyers denied that he was the author of the dialogue and asked for the investigation of the account. Following the delivery of messages to the Supreme Court last week, Moraes had a camera arrested and determined that he and Kuntz be investigated for a possible obstruction of justice.
“The conduct reported in the case file, indicating, at this time, the possible attempt to obstruct the investigation, by Marcelo Costa Câmara and his lawyer Luiz Eduardo de Almeida Santos Kuntz, who unlawfully overflowed the legal obligations of lawyer,” said Moraes.
In the data sent by the goal, there is a record of a conversation between Kuntz, the profile “Gabrielar702” and Paulo Amador Cunha Bueno, one of the lawyers of former President Jair Bolsonaro’s team.
