USA investigate coordinated attack on migrant detention center

Ten people were accused of attempted murder because they participated in an “ambush” at an immigrant detention center in the state of Texas in the southern United States, the Justice Department said on Tuesday (8).

A police officer was injured around his neck during the attack on Friday night against a center of the Immigration and Customs Service (ICE) in the Texan city of Alvarado, the department said in a statement.

“Make no mistake, it was not a peaceful protest,” said interim federal prosecutor Nancy Larson. “It was an ambush to federal and local employees,” he added.
