Alckmin on Tarcisio: Putted Trump’s cap and a victim of the tariff is São Paulo economy
The vice president and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, observed on Friday 11, the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), who used a cap with the phrase of the presidential campaign of Donald Trump, commands the state that will be struck by the 50% tariffs imposed by the American from Brazil from August 1.

Earlier, Tarcísio reported that he met with US embassy in charge, Gabriel Escobar, in Brasilia. “We talked about the consequences of the tariff for the Brazilian industry and agribusiness, as well as the impacts on American companies,” wrote Tarcisio on X. “Let’s open dialogue with the companies of São Paulo, backed by consolidated data and arguments, to seek effective solutions.”

Alckmin also stated that President Lula made it clear that Brazil does not accept external interference on state issues. “It is our duty to defend the sovereignty of the country.”
