Hacker attack exposed confidential data from US courts, says website
Information technology systems of the United States federal judiciary have been the target of “recent sophisticated and persistent cyber attacks,” the US court administrative office said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement following a policy report on Wednesday night, according to which the Electronic Judicial Proceedings System had been compromised in a comprehensive attack that is believed to expose confidential court data in several states.
The policy, who cited two people familiar with the subject, said the incident affected the federal judiciary process management system, which includes an electronic process management and archiving system and a platform that provides the public access paid to some of the same data.
