Deputy Pollon says that because he was autistic, he did not understand what happened in riot

Federal Deputy Marcos Pollon (PL-MS), who is on the list of parliamentarians who can be suspended due to the riot that paralyzed the work of the house for more than 30 hours, used his social networks to defend himself, claiming to be autistic and that, therefore, did not understand what happened when the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), tried to resume the session last Wednesday. The information is from UOL.

The episode came when Motta tried to resume the presidency of the session, but Pollon and Deputy Marcel Van Hattem (Novo-RS) were the last to leave the plenary, making it difficult for the work.

Pollon denied that he encouraged Van Hattem to stay in the chair of the president, as was released by some vehicles. He asked the images to be analyzed to prove their version.

In a video released by the deputy himself, it is possible to see him saying Van Hattem: “I do not understand. I will not leave.” Pollon explained that he requested the presence of his colleague to guide him, as he was not understanding the situation due to his autism. According to him, he sat in Hugo Motta’s chair while Van Hattem stood beside him to support him.

Pollon stated that there was a prior agreement for the space to be vacated only after a specific rite, which would not have been fulfilled.

He said the intention was to leave before the president resumed the session, but the lack of compliance with this combined led him to stay at the scene. Van Hattem, according to Pollon, was there to assist him as a trusted person.

Despite the justification, the deputy admitted that the permanence in the plenary was conditioned to a positive response about the amnesty election those involved in the attack on Congress on January 8. He stressed that he made it clear in his videos that he would only leave when there was a favorable definition for involved in the episode.

In addition to the impasse in the House, Pollon has a recent history of controversial statements. In an inflamed speech during a demonstration in defense of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), held in Mato Grosso do Sul on August 3, he called the mayor, Hugo Motta, “shit” and “short of one meter and 60”.

Marcos Pollon’s situation is closely monitored as it may result in severe disciplinary sanctions, including the suspension of the mandate.
