Influencer arrested in operation against Bets records video in the cell before paying bail
Influencer Mauritius, known as Maumau ZK, recorded videos from inside the cell where he was arrested last Saturday (9) at a Guarulhos (SP) police station. In the images, released on his Instagram profile, he says he would take a shower and “wait for the license” of release.
Maumau was the target of Operation Unfortunate, triggered by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police against the illegal promotion of online gambling, money laundering and training of criminal organization. In the action, he was arrested in the act for keeping a gun with suppressed numbering and no legal size at home.
“I’m going to say a prayer here with my cell friends and everyone gets out of this,” he said in the first video.

Then, when informed that he would be released, he added: “A man of God will not be arrested. I am not a thief, I am not a bandit. Maumau is from the people, Maumau is Brazil.”
Maximum bail and precautionary measures
Maurício was released at 4:30 pm on Saturday, after a custody hearing and minimum wage bail payment (R $ 151.8 thousand) – the maximum amount for illegal gun possession crimes.
He will still have to comply with precautionary measures, such as:
• Bimonthly attendance to the district where he resides to inform his activities;
• prohibition of absent from the city for more than ten days without judicial authorization;
• Attendance to all acts of the case, under penalty of revocation of provisional freedom.
The defense confirmed the authenticity of the images, but claimed that the influencer did not have direct access to a cell phone. After leaving the prison, Maumau showed on social networks that he acquired a new cell phone and a computer, even partnering with a store to promote products.
Operation Mira Influencing Network
Operation unfortunately served 31 search and seizure warrants in Rio, São Paulo and Minas Gerais. In all, 15 influencers are investigated.
Maumau denies participation in illegal scheme and says he has only advertising contract with a bookmaker.
About the seized weapon, he says that “it was never used” and was spontaneously handed over to the police. According to him, the weaponry was received as a gift during an advertising action in a shooting booth, but did not verify if there were irregularities.
