Commissions approve R $ 7.6 billion in amendments without lightning vote transparency
Five commissions of the House of Representatives approved, on Wednesday, 13, the destination of R $ 7.6 billion in commission amendments to the budget without discussion, advertising from which resources go or greater transparency. The votes were symbolic and lasted a few seconds.

The Commission amendments approved the health collegiate (which is entitled to R $ 3.8 million in amendments), national integration (with R $ 1.2 billion in amendments), sport (with R $ 1 billion in amendments), tourism (with R $ 950 thousand in amendments) and urban development (with R $ 550 thousand in amendments). Only the agriculture collegiate (R $ 100,000 in amendments) did not vote the nominations on Wednesday.

The “lightning” movement of the commissions occurs after the presidents of collegiates met at the official residence of the mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), on the morning of Tuesday, 12, even before the leadership meeting. The deputies were warned of the vote on the amendments on the night of the same day. The movement was anticipated by Folha de S. Paulo.
According to the procedure to be adopted, commissions now need to publish the nominations and present them to the government. This type of amendment is not mandatory – it is up to the Planalto Palace to release the resources or not. If you choose to release, the government needs to show the name of the deputy who indicated the amendment.
This year, the forecast is $ 11.5 billion in commission amendments. Approximately R $ 7.7 billion are with the House and R $ 3.8 billion with the Senate.
