Carlos Bolsonaro compares Brazil to Venezuela and criticizes “Union Rhetoric” of Moraes

Councilman Carlos Bolsonaro (Republicans-RJ) said on Monday (18) that Brazil is experiencing a “lack of legal stability worthy of envy to Venezuela.”

The statement was published on its profile on social network X (former Twitter), in another Bolsonaro family rhetorical climbing movement against the Supreme Court (STF), especially against Minister Alexandre de Moraes.

In the same post, Carlos attacked what he called “Union Rhetoric” and stated that the country is going through a scenario of “torture, murders and destruction of any remnants of legality.” For him, those who still advocate conciliation in the face of this context would be “complete innocent – or just the opposite.”

Eduardo calls Moraes “psychopath” after speaking of the minister to the Washington Post

Deputy attacks STF minister on the networks and accuses him of “challenging Trump”

Trump sends letter to Bolsonaro and claims that Brazil lives “ridiculous regime of censorship”

In the text, Trump condemns house arrest against the former president but does not mention PGR charges and PF investigations; He says that Brazilian government promotes “attacks on freedom of expression”

“The person who exchanges his conscience for vote deserves no respect and those who support him deserve to have what he has,” wrote the councilman.

The post came to light after the repercussion of the interview given by Alexandre de Moraes to the American newspaper The Washington Post. In it, the minister said he will not give in to pressure from US President Donald Trump, who accused him of politically chasing former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

“There is no possibility of retreating a millimeter,” said Moraes, ensuring that the trials will follow the evidence and due process.

The Brazilian former Mandanker was nominally cited by Trump in the decree that imposed a 50% tariff on Brazilian products, based on the claim that he was the victim of judicial persecution.

Moraes was sanctioned by the White House based on magnitsky law, which blocks its goods in the US and prevents transactions with US companies.

Eduardo also attacks Moraes

Earlier, federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) also reacted to the interview, classifying Moraes as a “psychopath” and accusing the minister of “challenging Trump”.

“Lula will continue to talk nonsense. Moraes will always redouble the bet, because he is a psychopath,” wrote the parliamentarian, who has been in the United States since February articulating with members of the Trump administration.

The Supreme Court sees in public statements in the Bolsonaro family an attempt to obstruct ongoing investigations, involving Jair Bolsonaro, their children and allies in what the court classifies as a “coup attempt” after the 2022 elections.
