New Russian drone foray, this time in Romania
Several European countries, such as France, Germany, and Sweden, have announced that they will reinforce their contribution to Poland’s air defense at their eastern border with Ukraine and Belarus.
US President Donald Trump said he was willing to impose new sanctions against Russia, but on the condition that NATO countries stop buying Russian oil.
“I am ready to apply significant sanctions against Russia when all NATO countries agree, and begin to do the same, and when all NATO nations stop buying oil from Russia,” he wrote on his social network.
Trump repeatedly threatens Russia with new sanctions as a way of affecting the country’s revenues to support his war efforts. But so far it has not fulfilled its threats, for greater Kiev frustration.
On the ground, the Ukrainian army managed to reach an important oil refinery in Russia, causing a fire.
The complex, which belongs to the Russian oil company Bashneft, is located on the outskirts of the city of UFA, in downtown Russia, about 1,400 kilometers from the front line in Ukraine.
