USA attack Venezuelan vessel and kill three people, says Trump

A few days ago, US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, told naval sailors and Marines on a War ship off from Puerto Rico that they were not sent to the Caribbean for training, but to the “front lines” of a Criticizing Mission to combat drug trafficking.

On Monday, Hegseth, in an X post, suggested an expansive mission to US military against drug traffickers: “We will track them, kill and dismantle their networks throughout our hemisphere-in the moments and places of our choice.”

Trump ordered the Defense Department to change his name to the War Department, a change that will require Congress action. The new name would also apply to Hegseth, changing his title to “War Secretary.”

Hours before Trump’s posting, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said recent incidents between his country and the United States were a US “aggression” and that communications between the two governments had been virtually closed.

The Trump government provided little information about the first attack on September 2, despite the demands of US parliamentarians to justify the action. The government claimed that people on board were members of the Venezuelan gang Tren from Aragua and said 11 people were killed.

The Pentagon did not publicly say what kind of drugs the boat of the first attack was carrying, not even the amount of weapons were used to perform the attack.
