Lula called Emir do Qatar to express solidarity by Israel’s attack
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva called Emir from Qatar, the Tamim Bin Hamad al Thani.
In a note sent on Friday morning, the Presidency Secretariat of Social Communication (Secom) reported that Lula expressed to Emir “concern that the action compromises the efforts led by Qatar to the release of hostages and defended the realization of the Palestinian State, in peace and security alongside the State of Israel as a solution to conflict.”

“Emir do Qatar thanked Brazil’s demonstrations in repudiation of attack and greeted the results of the emergency summit of Arab and Islamic countries convened on September 15, which resulted in a statement of support for Qatar,” Secom said.
Lula also took the call to invite Emir to participate in COP30 in Belém do Pará, in November this year. He also thanked him to pick up the first meeting of Global Alliance Leaders against Hunger and Poverty, in the context of the Second Social Development Summit of the United Nations (UN) on November 3.
