Moraes releases for judgment action against core 4 of the coup plot

STF marks for the 23rd approval of the trial minutes that condemned Bolsonaro

Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) released the trial the criminal action against core 4 of the coup plot that occurred during the government of former President Jair Bolsonaro.

In the order issued on Monday (22), Moraes asked Minister Cristiano Zanin, president of the first class of the court, to appoint the dates of the trial.

The defendants of this nucleus are accused by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) Organize misinformation actions to propagate false news about the electoral process and virtual attacks on institutions and authorities in 2022.

The following are part of this core:

  • Ailton Gonçalves Moraes Barros (Major of the Army Reserve);
  • Ângelo Martins Denicoli (Major of the Army Reserve);
  • Giancarlo Gomes Rodrigues (Army Lieutenant);
  • Guilherme Marques de Almeida (Army Lieutenant Colonel);
  • Reginaldo Vieira de Abreu (Army Colonel);
  • MARCELO ARAÚJO BORMEVET (Federal Police);
  • Carlos Cesar Moretzsohn Rocha (President of the Voting Legal Institute).

OTHER CENTERS

So far, only core 1 members, formed by former President Jair Bolsonaro and seven other defendants, were convicted.

In addition to nucleus 4, this year will be tried the nuclei 2 and 3.
