Trump says FBI agents were ‘agitators’ in Capitol invasion

Former FBI director was indicted in the USA

James Comey, a critic of Donald Trump, was indicted last Thursday for “serious crimes”. The measure was celebrated by the US President.

Comey was ahead of the FBI from 2013 to 2017. He was fired by Trump in the first term of the president. At the time, Comey headed investigations into members of the Republican campaign and Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential campaign, where Trump surpassed Hillary Clinton.

The prosecution against Comey occurred after Trump asked the attorney general to take action against the former FBI director and other political leaders. “Justice in the United States!” Trump wrote as he celebrated the prosecution. “One of the worst human beings to which this country has been exposed is James Comey, the former FBI chief chief,” he added.

Comey assured that he is innocent and said he was ready to face justice. “My family and I have known Donald Trump for years has its costs, but we can’t imagine living otherwise,” Comey said in a video posted on Instagram. “I’m not afraid, and I hope you either have you,” he said.

Decision is seen with suspicion by critics. For them, the current US president seeks to retaliate people who determined investigations against him or criticized his decisions.
