Brazilian scientist dies run over by crossing pedestrian strip in Lisbon
Flávia Vasconcelos de Mello, a Brazilian researcher who was postpating in Portugal, was run over by a car and died in Lisbon on Thursday, 25. According to the public website, the accident would have occurred on Snu Abecassis Street, in the Lumiar region, when the Brazilian crossed the pedestrian strip.
One witness reported that the accident generated mobilization, including the presence of two doctors living in the region. An ambulance was called and the team tried to revive Flávia without success.
Friends and family organized an “kitty” online and raised $ 122,000 to fund the transfer of the body.
