Moraes requests the PGR demonstration on the arrest request of Eduardo Bolsonaro
The Minister and Vice President of the Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, requested that the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) states about arrest requests against Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), a procedure that integrates the routine of judicial bureaucracy. With the request, the agency has five days to submit its position.
The letter complies with requests from parliamentarians from the House of Representatives, such as Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) and Talíria Petrone (PSOL-RJ), who requested measures such as the suspension of wages and the blockade of Eduardo compensation funds.
To substantiate the request, parliamentarians cite article 312 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CPP), which defines the requirements for the decree of pre -trial detention, a precautionary measure of restriction of freedom. For the arrest to be decreed, it is necessary to prove the existence of the crime and sufficient evidence of authorship.

According to the deputies “the decree of the pre -trial detention of Eduardo Bolsonaro, pursuant to Article 312 of the CPP, is necessary to guarantee public order, criminal instruction and the application of criminal law, in the face of the permanence of the scammers and the intensification of illicit action in foreign territory.”
In September, former President Jair Bolsonaro and blogger Paulo Figueiredo were reported by PGR for coercion in the course of the process. The accusation was presented in the inquiry in the Supreme Court and investigates the deputy’s performance with the United States government to pressure Brazilian authorities, including court ministers.
In addition, Eduardo Bolsonaro must speak after being notified via a public notice by the Supreme Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The information was published in the Diário da Justiça on Tuesday, 30.
In the letter, Moraes pointed out that the parliamentarian has shown resistance to being notified, in reference to the failed attempts of bailiffs who sought to deliver it to two different addresses, without success.
