Judge blocks Trump order to mobilize National Guard
A federal judge blocked on Saturday the mobilization of national guard soldiers in the American city of Portland, temporarily suspending a last month order of President Donald Trump, which aimed to combat illegal immigration.
Trump, who has already sent military to Los Angeles and Washington, says these measures are needed to contain crime and protests against his mass deportation campaign.
District Judge Karin Immergut has determined that the president and federal officials are “temporarily forbidden” to send to Portland, the main city of the state of Oregon. The measure is valid until the next 18th.
