57.9% of Brazilians want changes in the way they govern, shows Paraná Pesquisas

The majority of Brazilians want significant changes in the way the country is governed, according to a survey by Paraná Pesquisas released this Tuesday (28). According to the institute, 57.9% of those interviewed said they wanted the next president to totally or partially change the current government model.

Among them, 28.9% said they want the future head of the Executive to “completely change” the way of governing, while 29% argue that he “changes a lot of things” in relation to the current administration.

On the other hand, 17.1% stated that the new president should make few changes, and 23% said they were satisfied with the current model, defending “total continuity” of the current management.

Paraná Pesquisas asked: “For president of Brazil, would you like a person to be elected who…”, and presented the answer options regarding the degree of change desired.

The research was carried out between October 21 and 24, 2025, with 2,020 interviews in 26 states and the Federal District. The confidence interval is 95%, and the margin of error is 2.2 percentage points, plus or minus.
