Anderson Torres asks to serve his sentence in the PF or in a PM battalion, alleging threats
Anderson Torres’ defense presented this Monday, 24th, a request to the Federal Supreme Court so that, if minister Alexandre de Moraes orders the early execution of the sentence, the former minister will not be sent to the common prison system.
The lawyers ask that Torres be imprisoned in a special location, such as the Federal Police Superintendence in the Federal District or another equivalent unit, alleging personal risk due to him being a PF delegate and member of the Jair Bolsonaro government. The defense also cites recent threats and the continued use of medications.

According to lawyers, Torres is undergoing psychiatric treatment and uses antidepressants, according to a medical prescription attached to the case. They claim that the common prison system does not offer adequate conditions for the therapeutic support necessary for the former minister.
In the same document, the defense informed that it intends to present infringing embargoes by December 3rd. Torres was convicted in the criminal action of the coup plot, and this Monday marks the last day to present appeals after the publication of the ruling that rejected the first embargoes for declaration.
