Woman breaks record and enters Guinness World Record with the longest Afro hair in the world

In addition to being CEO of a women’s fashion brand, Jessica is also a digital influencer and works to expand representation. With the title, she hopes to increase her visibility to promote acceptance of natural hair and strengthen hair identity.

I hope breaking this world record inspires someone to dream bigger, just like my afro.

Jessica received the Guinness plaque from Aevin Dugas, who was the record holder for 15 years. “She paved the way for me and anyone else to achieve this incredible title.”

The journey of self-acceptance, however, took time. Before feeling empowered, Jessica tried to fit into social standards that had no relationship to her identity. Over the years, she has changed her perception of beauty, self-care and hair hygiene.

The moment I stopped comparing my hair to others, caring about people’s comments or the looks I got as I passed by, I found peace.
