Janja accuses Zezé Di Camargo of misogyny after criticizing Silvio Santos' daughters

First lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, accused singer Zezé Di Camargo of misogyny after the country singer’s statements against SBT and, in particular, against Silvio Santos’ daughters, who took charge of the station after the founder’s death.

The reaction came after the artist stated that the presence of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and authorities at the launch of SBT News would represent a “prostitution” of the broadcaster.

According to her, the episode exposes the recurring disrespect for the presence of women in positions of power and reinforces hate speech directed at this space of leadership.

In a post on social media, the singer said he was bothered by the participation of Lula and Federal Supreme Court minister Alexandre de Moraes in events promoted by the broadcaster and suggested that this would be at odds with the line that, in his view, Silvio Santos defended.

In the video, Zezé stated that he followed the presenter’s trajectory for most of his life and declared his strangeness with the decisions made by the businessman’s daughters. He also said that he supports Brazil and the Brazilian people, but that he does not identify with the path recently adopted by the broadcaster.

The inauguration of SBT News brought together, in addition to Lula, First Lady Janja, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin and ministers such as Fernando Haddad, Jorge Messias and Ricardo Lewandowski. STF ministers Alexandre de Moraes and Gilmar Mendes, the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, and the minister of the Federal Court of Auditors Bruno Dantas also participated.
