Datafolha: PT is preferred by 24%, followed by PL with 12%; 46% have no preference

The PT remains the preferred party of Brazilians, cited by 24% of those interviewed, a feat it has maintained since the end of the 1990s.

The PL comes in second place, cited by 12%, the acronym is leveraged in the national memory by former president Jair Bolsonaro who is in prison, shows a Datafolha survey.

However, 46% of Brazilians say they do not have a preference for any political party. The MDB, which was in third place, registered 2% of the electorate’s preference.

According to the institute, the scenario is one of stability for the PT in the third Lula government, whose rates varied from 23% to 27%. Bolsonaro’s party reached a record rate in the historical series, which began in 1989.

The survey was carried out with 2,002 people aged 16 or over between December 2nd and 4th, in 113 municipalities. The margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
