PM asks Moraes to change visits and authorization for Bolsonaro’s walks
The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) forwarded to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), a request for operational and security adjustments related to the custody of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the 19th Battalion of the PMDF, known as Papudinha.
In the letter, sent this Tuesday, the 28th, the corporation requests authorization to change the day of the former president’s visits, allow walks in controlled areas of the unit and expand access to religious assistance.

According to the PMDF, Bolsonaro is a “sensitive custodian” due to the public functions he performed, the repercussion of the case and the potential risk of hostilities. The corporation states that the differentiated treatment does not constitute a privilege, but a preventive measure aimed at the safety and physical integrity of the prisoner, visitors and police personnel.
Opportunity with security!
Among the requests, the PM requests that Bolsonaro’s visitation day be transferred, exceptionally, from Thursday to Saturday. The justification is that, on working days, there is an intense flow of servers, custodians and administrative activities at Papudinha, in addition to coinciding with the day of visits by the other prisoners in the unit.
According to the document, on Saturdays the internal flow is reduced, there are no regular administrative hours and there are no visits from other prisoners, which would allow greater operational predictability, access control and segregation of environments.
The PMDF also requests authorization for the former president to undertake walks in a controlled and restricted manner, under permanent escort and supervision. The activities would take place in previously defined locations, such as the football field or the asphalt track at the back of the center.
The request, according to the letter, was made based on medical recommendations and aims to preserve Bolsonaro’s physical health. The corporation states that the measure does not involve contact with other prisoners or the use of equipment, in addition to having a low operational impact.
Another point presented to the minister is the extension of religious assistance. The PMDF informed that the service is provided by the corporation’s Chaplaincy, in the evangelical and Catholic aspects, always under the supervision of the responsible staff and in compliance with the unit’s safety conditions.
Bolsonaro was transferred to Papudinha on the 16th of this month, as determined by Minister Alexandre de Moraes. Previously, he was held in custody at the Federal Police Superintendency (PF) in Brasília. The former president is serving a sentence of 27 years and 3 months in prison for the crimes of armed criminal organization, coup d’état, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, deterioration of listed property and qualified damage to the Union’s property.
