The Minister of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR), refuted this Friday, 30th, the statement by the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), who stated that the country is experiencing a “moral crisis” after visiting former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on Thursday (29).

“It’s very bold of Tarcísio Freitas to leave Papuda talking about a ‘moral crisis’”, wrote the minister.

Gleisi stated that the largest individual financier of Tarcísio’s and the former president’s campaigns was Fabiano Zettel, brother-in-law of banker Daniel Vorcaro, arrested by the Federal Police (PF) as part of Operation Compliance Zero.

According to her, the “fiscal crisis” mentioned by the governor was inherited from the Bolsonaro government, which, she stated, left a R$255 billion hole in public accounts.

Tarcísio was with Bolsonaro this Thursday, in Brasília, where the former president is serving his sentence in Papudinha. Upon leaving the place, the governor stated that he will support the candidacy of senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) for the Presidency of the Republic in this year’s elections and again said that he intends to run for re-election to the government of São Paulo.

Gleisi’s statement made reference to statements made by Tarcísio after the visit. On the occasion, the governor stated that Brazil is facing a “fiscal crisis” and a “moral crisis” and defended the need to present a political alternative to the country, aligned with the project led by Bolsonaro and his political group.

“We are seeing the situation in the country, where Brazil is heading, Brazil has a contracted fiscal crisis and today it faces a moral crisis and we have to respond, that is why we need an alternative and we will provide this alternative as a team, I am part of this team, we are added to this from the vision that the president himself has”, declared Tarcísio upon leaving prison.
