PP senator criticizes the federation’s note with União Brasil in support of Dias Toffoli
Senator Tereza Cristina (PP-MS) published on a social network late Friday night (13) that the “Progressistas bench in the Federal Senate informs that the position expressed in a note released by the Progressive Union Federation was not previously debated nor did it have the consent of this bench”.
“Therefore, the note cannot be interpreted as representative of the PP senators”, says Tereza Cristina’s post. In the post, she mentions parliamentarians Dr. Hiran (RR), Esperidião Amin (SC), Luis Carlos Heinze (RS) and Margareth Buzetti (MT) as signatories of the clarification.
In the text, Tereza Cristina does not mention the theme of the note from the Progressive Union Federation. But, hours before the senator’s post, the federation, which brings together the União Brasil and PP parties, published a note expressing “confidence” in Minister Dias Toffoli, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), after the change of rapporteur in the Banco Master case.
Opportunity with security!
In the text, the União Progressista Federation shows concern about the “narratives that want to turn public opinion against Minister Dias Toffoli”.
“It is necessary to consider that injustices happen when there is only one side of a version repeated countless times without a solid basis”, continues the note. The federation adds: “A slanderous version, which becomes true precisely through repetition.”
