Moraes asks the PGR for an opinion on house arrest for Bolsonaro
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), asked this Friday (20) that the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) comment on the new request for house arrest made by the defense of former president Jair Bolsonaro.
Last week, Bolsonaro fell ill in prison and was taken to DF Star Hospital, where he remains hospitalized. The former president is recovering from bacterial pneumonia.

The request for the PGR to present an opinion was made after Papudinha management informed Moraes that the transfer to the hospital unit occurred due to the “risk of death” of the former president.
Earlier, in the report sent to the Supreme Court, the prison officially informed the minister who carried out the escort to the hospital.
“The escort began at 6:52 am, after evaluation and determination by the doctor on duty, Dr. Ana Cristina, due to the risk of death of the person in custody. The journey was completed at around 8:55 am, with arrival at DF Star Hospital”, says the report.
After the former president fell ill, the defense made a new request for Moraes to be placed under house arrest. There is no deadline for decision.
According to a medical bulletin released this morning, Bolsonaro remains hospitalized and is not expected to be discharged.
