PL asks PGR to investigate PT via video associating Flávio Bolsonaro with Banco Master
Federal deputy Ubiratan Sanderson (RS), from the Liberal Party (PL), sent this Monday, 27th, a request for the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) to investigate the Workers’ Party (PT) for a video released this Sunday, 26th, which attempts to associate senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic, with the Banco Master scandal.
In the video, which is beginning to circulate on Bolsonaro and PT profiles, the speaker uses the expression “bolsomaster” to refer to the case and states that Flávio Bolsonaro had received a “R$6 million mansion in Brasília” as part of the scheme.
Flávio Bolsonaro says that Eduardo will be decisive in defining the Senate ticket in SP
“For the Senate, we want the composition of a majority ticket in the state of São Paulo, which will be very aligned with Tarcísio, and who will have the final say there is Eduardo together with President Bolsonaro”, said Flávio in an interview
Kassab says that Bolsonaro “had no vocation for public life” and supports 3rd way
President of the PSD believes that his party’s candidate, Ronaldo Caiado, is capable of growing during the campaign and reaching the second round
“Flávio Bolsonaro is part of the scheme, the rachadinhas scheme, which diverted millions of reais from Alerj, a money laundering scheme with the purchase of 51 properties in cash, a scheme involving militiamen who worked in his office. And the Bolsonaro scheme, which yielded this R$6 million mansion for Flávio in Brasília. If in doubt, Google it. Flávio is Bolsonaro’s most corrupt son”, he says.
According to Congressman Sanderson, Flávio’s connection with the Master is made with reports presented as proven facts and the use of expressions with a strong emotional appeal. The letter states that there is, to date, no formal investigation linking the senator to the scandal. When contacted, Flávio Bolsonaro’s advisor stated that the accusations are “lies and absurd” since the senator is not formally mentioned in the investigations into the case.
“In this case, it is not a mere political criticism or opinion, but a direct imputation of illegal conduct without support from known formal investigations, presented in a format that simulates factual veracity”, states Sanderson.
Therefore, the deputy requests the immediate opening of an investigation to investigate the production and dissemination of the video, with the identification of those responsible and the analysis of the content within electoral legislation. The parliamentarian also calls for the adoption of urgent measures to stop the circulation of the material, if irregularities are found, in addition to possibly sending the case to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and holding those involved accountable.
The deputy also justifies that the measures must be taken urgently, since the video is circulating in a digital environment “where the speed of propagation is exponential and the effects of misinformation can become irreversible in a short space of time”, writes the deputy.
The video was released to supporters during the 8th PT National Congress, in Brasília. The party recalls that Master was authorized to operate in 2019, during the Jair Bolsonaro government, and that Vorcaro’s brother-in-law, Fabiano Zettel, donated R$5 million to the campaigns of Tarcísio de Freitas, governor of São Paulo, and to Jair Bolsonaro himself.
“Let’s put our cards on the table. Daniel Vorcaro was authorized to operate the Master bank in 2019, by the Bolsonaro government. Fabiano Zettel, Master’s partner, handed over R$5 million to Bolsonaro and Tarcísio de Freitas’ campaigns. And the governor who tried to cover up these frauds helped buy the mansion from whom? Flávio Bolsonaro. Did you understand the scheme? Master bank is Bolsonaro”, says the video.
