Flávio says he showed Trump a “glaring difference” with Lula on a visit to the White House
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for the Presidency, said this Tuesday, 26th, that he exposed to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the “glaring difference” with the Lula government, if he is elected President of the Republic.
“Instead of ideological alignments with dictatorships and authoritarian regimes, what Brazil needs are strategic partnerships that enrich our people, create jobs, bring investment, technology and security”, declared the parliamentarian, in a press conference, after meeting with Trump in the Oval Office of the White House, in Washington, on Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting was recorded in photos released by members of the parliamentarian’s delegation, who arrived in the country this Monday (25)
Flávio declared that the objective of his visit was to “offer an alternative” to the visit of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), on May 7, which the senator classified as a “lobby for drug traffickers”. The speech refers to the PT government’s rejection of the idea studied at the White House of designating the PCC and Comando Vermelho as foreign terrorist organizations.
As an example, the parliamentarian stated that, if elected president, Brazil will become part of the “Shield of the Americas”, an initiative launched by Trump to combat drug trafficking and illegal immigration in the region. Currently, countries led by right-wing leaders and aligned with Washington, such as Argentina, Chile and Paraguay, have joined the program.
