Planalto says the performance of Eduardo and Flávio Bolsonaro in the USA is “deplorable”
The federal government classified, this Friday (29), as deplorable the actions of Eduardo and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) in the United States, which culminated in Donald Trump’s decision to classify the PCC and Comando Vermelho as terrorist organizations.
Pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Flávio Bolsonaro and former deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) met with Trump earlier this week and, according to Flávio, they had asked the head of the White House to classify the factions as terrorists.
“It is deplorable that, once again, members of the Bolsonaro family travel to the United States to defend foreign intervention in Brazil, as they already did in the tariff, which caused so much damage to our country”, says an excerpt from the note published by Palácio do Planalto.

The text also reinforces that Brazil is a sovereign nation that maintains a permanent fight against criminal factions and that any international collaboration will be welcome, but considers the use of arbitrary measures from abroad as a pretext to attack Brazilian national sovereignty inadmissible.
The position also highlights that non-negotiated “unilateral measures” can weaken the fight against criminals and generate actions that put the lives of the population in the affected areas at risk, in addition to considerably reducing the ability to share information between the police. According to the government, an intervention could even affect the financial system and the PIX, which “inconvenience foreign interests”.
“National sovereignty is non-negotiable. Brazil rejects any form of external interference in its internal affairs. Those who define how crime is classified and fought within Brazil are Brazilians, with their institutions, laws and their security forces”, concludes the statement.
