At least three people died in the Muscat school bombings, according to Al Jazeera. Palestinian news agency Wafa says the site was used as a shelter for people displaced from the Tuffah neighborhood. Another 17 people were reportedly injured.

Israel also reportedly targeted an orphanage housing displaced people. At least five Palestinians died in the attack, according to the Shehab news agency.

Conflict in Lebanon

The announcement of new attacks in Gaza comes after days of bombings concentrated in Lebanon, as an offensive against Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas. On Monday night (30 Brasília time), Israel said it would begin “limited” ground attacks in Lebanon.

This Tuesday, Iran launched missiles towards Israel, causing warning sirens to sound throughout the territory. Netanyahu’s government said it would respond “at the right time”, while the UN warned of an escalation of the conflict.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran made a “big mistake” with the attack and would “pay” the price for its action.
