In April, Jair Bolsonaro underwent his sixth surgery related to the stab sequelae suffered in Juiz de Fora in 2018 during the presidential campaign.

The procedure, performed in Brasilia, lasted about 12 hours and was necessary to treat intestinal obstructions and rebuild the abdominal wall.

The former president remained hospitalized for 21 days, including much of the ICU period.

The attack caused serious injuries, with perforations in the gut and bleeding, which required multiple emergency surgeries at the time. Since then, Bolsonaro has faced a series of intestinal complications that have led him to several hospitalizations over the years.
