Airspace around Ronald Reagan airport usually records intense helicopter traffic, including military flights between Pentagon and nearby bases, marine-body patrols and helicopters, service to the White House.
Commercial planes such as the injured person are equipped with TCAs (Traffic Alert and Collision Prevention System), designed to alert pilots about the presence of nearby planes and give them last -minute instructions to avoid beating.
