Alckmin says that there will be another $ 10 billion of development credit letter
The Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckminsaid on Wednesday (12) that will be launched another $ 10 billion in Development Credit Letters (LCD)a financial product designed to finance the development of some industrial areas.
Alckmin gave the statement in a speech at Planalto Palace during ceremony to announce funds for the defense industry, part of the Nova Indústria Brasil (NIB) program.
The main LCD issuer is the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES). The title closed 2024 with R $ 9.48 billion raised. Of this total, R $ 9.075 billion were through the Federal Development Bank.

In addition to BNDES, the Minas Gerais Development Bank (BDMG) raised R $ 138 million and the Far South Regional Development Bank (BRDE), R $ 266.5 million. The data are from the Brazilian Association of Development (ABDE).
In the speech, Alckmin also highlighted NIB Mission 6 figures, focused on the defense industry, which, according to the government, will have $ 112.9 billion in public and private investments, and industry growth data last year. “What the transformation industry grew by 2024 was twice the international average,” he said.
