ANVISA determines interdiction of glucose meter disapproved of tests
The measure occurs after ANVISA receives a unsatisfactory laboratory analysis report. Samples were failed by InCQS/Fiocruz (National Institute for Quality Control in Health, of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation).
The products did not pass the test in some aspects. The samples failed to analyze labeling, compliance analysis, reproducibility test and repeatability test. Anvisa advises that product users contact the manufacturer’s customer customer service (SAC) by email [email protected] for more information.
Facto News tried to contact the company, but has no return yet. The space is still open.
Glosimeter: What is it for?
It is an important device for blood glucose self -monitoring. The product helps the patient with diabetes understand as factors such as food, physical activity and medications affect their blood glucose, contributing to disease control.
The glycosimeter measures the blood glucose level from a gout usually harvested from the finger. Blood is placed on a reagent tape that, upon contact with glucose, generates a signal that the device translates into number, allowing sugar rate to evaluate and its comparison with the desired level.
