Coaf will investigate influencers
At the same session, parliamentarians approved the request for the Financial Financial Intelligence Reports (RIFS) reports of the Virginia Fonseca and Rico Melquíades, both heard by the Commission.
Senator Soraya justified that documents are fundamental to understand the relationship between influencers and bookmakers, focusing on advertising and gains obtained with contracts in the sector.
Virginia Fonseca’s case was cited as an exemplary of the need to “evaluate more rigorous regulation” for the performance of public figures in this market.
About Rico Melquíades, the application mentions that its role in “dissemination of betting content” is central to understanding digital advertising mechanisms and its impact on the public.
The Bets CPI, installed to investigate social impacts and possible irregularities involving online gambling, should end their work in June, but parliamentarians evaluate extending the deadline in the face of the repercussions of the testimonials and the advancement in investigations.
