Bill Gates’s luxurious and hydrogen -powered superior

The 390 -foot and $ 645 million Breakthrough Superreatment, which has long been linked to the billionaire and philanthropist, has been on sale by the Edmiston yacht broker.

Jamie Edmiton, CEO of the company that bears his name, said in a statement that it is “the most extraordinary yacht ever built (E) the one who will change everything.”

Neither Gates nor Edmiston responded to requests for commentary, but has been widely reported in business publications and the sector that Superiate was commissioned by Gates a few years ago.

The Dutch Shipyard Feadship took five years to build “Breakthrough”, also known as “821 Project”, and is large enough to accommodate 43 crew and 30 guests in 15 cabins. In May 2024 reported that the yacht also has hospital, library, elevator, movies, pool, whirlpool tubs, steam sauna, gym, exclusive deck for owners with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two offices and 14 retractable balconies.

“The big difference from Breakthrough is that it is a wonder of modern, final point,” Brad Hall, CEO of the Yachtlify yachtplace marketplace, told Fortune.

This is because the breakthrough is the world’s first superior to hydrogen fuel cell. And that is what makes Superirate particularly expensive, said Heigo Paaralu, CEO of Yachtway, to.

“It’s a very bold choice and without concessions,” added PaaStalu. Gates is also strongly involved in clean energy projects such as Breakthrough Energy, which supports early -stage companies that develop technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

And as Superriates builders have tight production schedules, anyone who wants to buy the breakthrough should expect to pay a prize, Paartalu said, instead of waiting for four to five years for a new construction.

“Time is priceless at this level,” he said. “Many buyers prefer immediate bonus at a wait for several years.”

Another interesting point on the sale of “Breakthrough” is that Gates supposedly never touched the yacht, even if he is on sale and will be shown at Monaco Yacht Show in September.

Although each superior is unique, said PaaStalu, in this case the new owner will be buying more than a boat.

“You are buying cutting -edge technology and a milestone in innovation,” he said. “Add to that a lineage that few can match. And we are honest: how often does anyone say, ‘I bought the Bill Gates yacht?’
