Bolsonaro will undergo surgery in the gut this Sunday (13) in Brasilia

Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) presented an episode of blood pressure alteration, which has already been controlled, according to medical report released early Saturday afternoon, 19. He is still hospitalized at the DF Star Hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Brasilia, with no discharge.

The medical report reported that the former president is still in oral fasting, feeding on the bloodstream, as it has not yet had “effective intestinal movements”. The medical team reported that motor physiotherapy sessions and other rehabilitation measures will be intensified.

The former president underwent a surgery of about 12 hours last Sunday, 13, to clear a fold in the small intestine that made his intestinal transit difficult. According to the medical team responsible for the procedure, the postoperative period should be “prolonged”.

Bolsonaro was urgently attended on Friday, 11, after experiencing severe abdominal pain during a PL event in Rio Grande do Norte. He was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Natal and, the following Saturday night, transferred to Brasilia at an aircraft equipped with air ICU.

The Bolsonaro family has shared postoperative records on social networks. On Saturday morning, Bolsonaro’s Instagram page published a video in which the former president thanks the support of former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, who accompanies him during hospitalization.
