This Wednesday, police officers will escort the former president in a convoy from the Regional Superintendency of the Federal District to the hospital. The journey is about four kilometers, covered in 8 minutes. The procedure was authorized by the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes, this Tuesday, at the request of the PL politician’s defense.
In addition to valuing the safety of the former president, who is being held in closed custody, the agents will monitor compliance with Moraes’ order. The entry of computers, cell phones or “any electronic devices” into the former president’s chamber is prohibited. Visits, with the exception of Michelle Bolsonaro and the medical team, will need to be authorized by the STF minister.
When contacted, the PF declined to comment on the security scheme prepared to escort and keep Bolsonaro in the hospital.
Disembark through the garage
Moraes wrote that the PF must “ensure compliance” with the restriction. The minister added that the “transportation and security of the person in custody” must be carried out in a “discreet manner” and Bolsonaro must disembark through the hospital garage.
The last time he was hospitalized, in September, the former president left the DF Star through the front door, where he stood for around five minutes while supporters chanted in support of “Bolsonaro back” and “amnesty now”. The scene generated questions from Moraes to the Penal Police of the Federal District, which at the time was responsible for taking care of house arrest.
The former president is now imprisoned in a closed regime in a special cell in the PF superintendence, and under the care of the corporation. He is serving the sentence imposed by the STF of 27 years and three months in prison for an attempted coup d’état.
The surgery was authorized by Moraes, after a Federal Police investigation pointed out the need for medical intervention.
Experts concluded that the former president suffered damage to a nerve in his torso resulting from a surgical procedure, which is causing frequent hiccups. It is necessary to repair this injured area to stop hiccups.
An inguinal hernia occurs when a part of the intestine or abdominal tissue protrudes through a weak point or opening in the muscular wall of the groin, forming a bulge.

‘Full conditions’
For Moraes, Bolsonaro has “maintained full health treatment conditions at the Regional Superintendency of the Federal Police in the Federal District”, where he is serving the 27 year and three month prison sentence he received from the STF for an attempted coup d’état.
“The defendant is in custody in a location that is absolutely close to the private hospital where he receives emergency health care, even closer than his home address – so that there is no harm in the event of the eventual need for emergency travel,” wrote the minister.
